A Streetcar Named Desire
A Streetcar Named Desire was one of Washington Shakespeare Company's
biggest hit productions. Co-directed by Michael Comlish with Christopher Henley
in Washington, DC, it was revived to the open the sprawling warehouse theater
across from the Pentagon by Washington Shakespeare Company.
Comlish faught hard to cast Rena Cherry Brown, a stronger and less
conventionally attractive Blanche.
The Washington Post called hers the best
Blanche they had ever seen.
